What types of stories should I avoid?

Most any type of story is welcome, but let’s do attempt to remain within the realms of good taste.  While sex and violence are a part of humanity’s endeavor to survive into the future and will be a part of many stories, please keep two things in mind: First, readers of many ages may visit this site.  Second, great writers are able to write horrid details in a way that gets the point across but is not repugnant to a majority of visitors and members. 

But if you are insulted by a story, before emailing a complaint, realize any story can be offensive depending on our personal prejudices.  Before reporting something as offensive, please consider whether the material is something you find immoral (hookers as an example), in poor taste (drowning kittens), disgusting (eating rotten meat) or just generally objectionable.  Any of these things are perfectly legitimate in art and expression. 

But let us know when someone writes stories that are obviously only designed to raise alarms.  This site is designed for intelligent and thoughtful discussion, not as a platform to purposefully disgust visitors (especially the young) and members. What does this mean in plain words?  Sex scenes are okay, fight scenes are great, but please post the snuff porn to other sites where such material is accepted.
